Game guide - preview

How to play

This guide follows the current test build (1.7.2). Numbers and names can still change during testing. The same guide is in the game: Menu > Guide. Tap any screenshot to see it full size.

Getting started

Make a profile, pick your first bike - a cheap kapcai or scooter - and you're dropped into Bamboo Town with a few ringgit. The short tutorial walks you through it:

  1. Ride to Restorant Bamboo (orange bowl on the map) and start a food delivery.
  2. Take the order to the ! drop-off on the map. Deliveries pay straight away.
  3. Keep an eye on your fuel - ride into a petrol station (pump icon) and fill up.
  4. Riding uses energy. Pop into JJMart (24 icon) and buy a drink.
  5. Go Home: rest on the sofa, change clothes, store your stuff and look after your bike.
  6. Visit Manaw Garage for parts, or College Bamboo Town to study for a better job.

The game clock runs fast: one game hour is one real minute (a whole game day is 24 real minutes). Energy, classes and the Unstuck timer run on real time.

Riding & controls

GAS and BRAKE on the right, steering on the left. Hold BRAKE when stopped to roll backwards. Tricks: wheelie, stoppie and fly (lie flat at speed: less wind, a bit quicker, 2-3 km/h more top speed and a little less fuel - but you can barely steer). Ride into a coloured zone in front of a shop and press the action button to go in. Get off to walk. Grass and sand slow you down and cut grip.

Touch controls have several layouts, and keys and controller buttons can be rebound in Settings > Controls. Riding view: 3rd person (default) or 1st person in Settings. On PC: fullscreen or windowed in Settings (Alt+Enter also switches).

Jobs & money

Food delivery at Restorant Bamboo is always there and pays straight away (about RM 14 a game hour) - but it never goes up. Real jobs pay a small base for every game hour you're clocked in plus pay for every task you finish, and both grow as you rank up.

*Typical pay at the first and the top rank, doing tasks well. A game hour is one real minute.

How a shift works

  1. Apply at the workplace - a petrol station, Naz Motor or Synergy Plaza (you need the job's course first). You have one job at a time; Career > Job shows yours.
  2. Ride to the workplace during opening hours, stop in its zone and pick Clock in. You park up and walk in.
  3. Tasks come in one after another - each is a hands-on mini-game (below). The better you do it, the more it pays: Excellent, Good, OK - and Poor work pays little and earns no experience.
  4. Every decent task gives experience; enough experience gets you PROMOTED - a higher rank multiplies all your pay.
  5. Clock out when you like. The shift also ends at closing time, when your energy hits zero, if you ride off, or if you stand around for 90 seconds without doing the task.
  • Energy: working uses about 3.3 energy per real minute. You can't clock in under 10 energy, and when you're tired (under 30) the mini-games get stricter.
  • Team bonus: friends on LAN with the same job at the same place share the work - +10% per coworker, up to +30%. More customers come in, too.
  • Check Career > Income to compare your delivery and job earnings over the last 7 days.

Petrol Station Attendant NO COURSE NEEDED

A customer pulls up and prepays: "RM 30 RON97, pump 4".

  1. Change: they hand over a note. Drag the right change from the till into their hand and tap Hand it over (or No change needed). Take back clears it if you mess up.
  2. Nozzle: drag the right grade - yellow RON95 or green RON97 - to the bike's tank.
  3. Pump: hold HOLD TO PUMP and watch the pump display - let go right on the amount, then hang up the nozzle. Overfill and they get free petrol; underfill and they're not happy.

Scored on the change (35%), the grade (15%) and how close you stop the pump (50%). The customer's face tells you how you did.

Mechanic Assistant AUTOMOTIVE CERTIFICATE

Every job has two stages - with a friend on LAN, one can diagnose while the other repairs.

  1. Diagnose (40% of the pay): read the customer's complaint ("Electric start dead, headlight very dim"). Tap parts on the bike to inspect them - spark plug, air filter, carburettor jet, drive chain, brake pads, battery - and a close-up shows whether it's worn. Drag the faulty part to the REPLACE tray. Each wrong guess costs you; checking first is good practice.
  2. Repair (60%): undo the bolts round the part in the numbered order, drag the new part on, then hold the torque wrench and let go in the green - over-tightened or too loose means another go.

Quick, clean work earns a speed bonus.

Office Clerk DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS

Paperwork at Synergy Plaza, against the clock (about 38 seconds - less when you're tired):

  1. Sort: 8 documents slide onto the desk one at a time. Drag each into the right tray: invoices, receipts, payslips or claims.
  2. Check: two invoices come with their purchase orders. Compare the billed amount with the agreed price and drag the APPROVED or QUERY stamp onto the invoice - about half of them hide a sneaky typo.

Scored on accuracy; 90% or better also earns a bonus for the time left.

Workshop Engineer MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Dyno tuning at Naz Motor. The bike is strapped on the rollers and the customer wants a power curve - top-end for drag racing, strong mid-range for the city or an all-rounder - shown in yellow on the dyno screen.

  1. Turn the three dials - Ignition, Jetting and Cam - by dragging across them. The cam moves where the power peaks; ignition and jetting set how close to ideal it gets.
  2. Hold the throttle for a dyno pull - your curve (white) draws live as the revs climb. Hold it all the way to the redline or the run doesn't count.
  3. You get three pulls; the best match counts.

How classes work

  • One class per real-world day (your phone's date), so a course takes about 1-2 weeks of real time.
  • A class can start between 08:00 and 16:30 game time. You need at least 10 energy and the fee, which you pay when the class starts.
  • Each class is a quiz of 8 questions about bikes, business or engineering, with 10 seconds per question (7 when you're tired). Get 5 right to pass.
  • A pass counts towards graduating; a fail doesn't (the fee is gone) - try again tomorrow.
  • Working as an Office Clerk makes class fees cheaper.

Energy, food & resting

Energy runs in real time: it refills by itself (empty to full in about 2 hours), even while the game is closed. Riding and working use it up. Energy is the left bar on the minimap ring, your stomach the right one.

Rest spotEnergy per minuteNotes
Street bench+4Free, all over town
Park bench+7Free, but the parks are out of town
Restaurant table+7Order something (even an ice kosong) - it buys you table time
Sofa at home+10The best rest

Get off the bike, walk to the seat and sit down. Food and drink help too, but your stomach only holds so much - everything fills it and it empties in real time (about 100 minutes from full). One energy drink an hour. Food stretches a shift; it doesn't replace resting.

Bin SuperMart (08:00-23:00) and JJMart (open 24 hours) sell snacks and drinks; the restaurant's fresh food is better value.

Low energy: under 30 the mini-games and quizzes get harder, under 20 the bike loses power and can't go fast (about 40 km/h when empty), under 10 you can't work or study.

Clothes, helmets & shoes

Three shops dress your rider. Pick a tab, tap an item to try it on (your rider turns on the right to show it), then buy - it goes to your wardrobe at home. Clothes change how you look; bags also carry things.

Bag, bike box & storage

Your bag is 2 pockets plus the bag you wear (sling +1, backpack +3, delivery box +5 slots). Every bike also has its own bike box - scooters have the biggest. Carriers from GlassAuto add more: a rear rack (+1 slot, RM 60), a top box (+3, RM 180) or a delivery box (+6, RM 280). Everything you load adds weight, and a heavy bike accelerates slower.

Food and 2T oil in the bike box can be used right there. Keep everything else at home in the storage room (30 slots).

Fuel & economy NEW IN 1.7.2

Every bike burns fuel its own way. Fuel costs RM 2.05 a litre at Petro-Nasi, Snail and Calid - ride into the station's zone and fill up. The fuel gauge is on the speedometer; on foot, the HUD shows your bike's fuel.

  • Fuel injection saves about 15%; small 4-stroke scooters a little more. 2-strokes burn 1.5 times as much - and 2T oil on top.
  • Tuning drinks more: bigger parts want more fuel, a rich tune wastes it, and a race engine revs higher. A fully built race bike can use three times as much.
  • Riding style matters: full throttle at the redline burns many times more than cruising. Fly saves about 8% at speed.
  • The dealer, the garage and the parts pages show each bike's km/L and tank range.

Ran out of fuel?

The engine coughs and stops. Walk to a petrol station and buy 1 litre in a water bottle (RM 3), carry it back and pour it in. Better: buy a jerry can (RM 30) at Speed Zone Mart - fill it at any station (5 litres) and carry it in your bag. Or tow the bike, or ask a friend to push you.

Velocity Motor: every bike shows power, top speed, 0-60 and its fuel economy and tank range.

Bike maintenance

Every bike wears with the km it rides. Check it at Home > Service (or Menu > Bike service & tow): each part shows its condition and roughly how many km are left. The HUD warns you when something's due.

Three ways to service

  • Do it yourself at home - you only pay for the part (see DIY service).
  • Naz Motor does it while you wait: pick Toba-Kaki, Original or NKL Tech (part + labour), or fit your own part for labour only.
  • Broken down? Tow it home (RM 60) or to Naz Motor (RM 40), or ask a friend on LAN to push you.

DIY service at home

Buy the part (Speed Zone Mart, or NKL Tech / X-PRO for better ones), ride home and open Home > Service. Tap the job - it uses the part from your bag, the bike's box or the storage room; if you have more than one brand, you choose which goes in.

Each job is a picture of the part and a list of hands-on steps:

  • Bolts - tap the bolts on the picture in the numbered order.
  • Drag - drag the new part onto the yellow box.
  • Hold - hold to drain, pour, pump or inflate, and let go between the marks.
  • Torque - hold the wrench and let go in the green.
  • Taps and Align - lever, pump or line up marks.
JobSteps
Oil changeUndo the sump drain bolt → drain the old oil → refit the bolt (torque) → bring the new oil to the filler cap → pour to between the dipstick marks → start and check for leaks
TyresUndo the 2 axle nuts → lever the old tyre off → drag the new tyre on → inflate to 29-33 psi → tighten the axle nuts
Brake padsUnbolt the caliper (2 bolts) → push the piston back → drag the new pads in → bolt the caliper back on → pump the lever until it's firm
Chain & sprocketsLoosen the rear axle → split the master link → drag the new kit on → set the slack to 25 mm → tighten the axle → lube the chain
CVT beltUndo the 6 cover bolts → pull off the worn belt → drag the new belt over the pulleys → refit the 6 bolts → torque the cover
Timing chainRemove the side cover (4 bolts) → line up the timing marks → drag the new chain onto the cam sprocket → set the tensioner → refit the cover → start it - no more rattle
Engine blockRemove the exhaust → undo the head bolts in a cross pattern → lift off the head and cylinder → fit the new rings (gaps 120° apart) → drag the new cylinder kit on → torque the 4 head bolts in a cross pattern → refit the exhaust → fresh oil → start it and run it in gently

Mistakes don't stop you - they just leave the new part a little less perfect. Progress is saved after every step, so you can Pause & leave half way; the bike stays in pieces (unrideable) until you finish. Friends on LAN can join in and help.

Parts, fitting & tuning

Performance parts come in three steps: STREET RACE PRO - for the cylinder, head, cam, crank, carburettor or throttle body, CDI or ECU, exhaust, gearbox, clutch and brakes.

ShopSellsFits for you
Manaw GarageStreet and Race parts, sprocketsYes - RM 40 a part (also parts you bring)
X-ProRace parts, cheaper - catalog onlyNo - parts go in the bike's parts box
Raey Tech (Dyno-Pro)Pro parts, the dynoYes - RM 120 a Pro part
Speed Zone MartToba-Kaki clone parts (half price)No

Fitting parts yourself (DIY)

  1. Buy the part. From X-Pro and Speed Zone Mart it goes straight into the bike's parts box; at Manaw Garage and Raey Tech you can also have it fitted there.
  2. At home, open Home > Parts & tune. Each slot shows what's fitted; parts in the box show Fit (DIY) and Sell. A fitted part can go back To stock.
  3. Tap Fit (DIY): undo the cover or mounting bolts, drag the part into place, torque everything back up - and for engine parts and exhausts, start it up and listen.

Who can fit what: anyone can fit Street and Race parts at home. Fitting Pro parts yourself needs the Automotive Certificate - or a Mechanic or Engineer job. Otherwise Raey Tech fits them for you.

Tuning the fuel

Bigger parts want more fuel. In Parts & tune, set the carburettor - pilot screw (low revs), needle clip (mid) and main jet (high). Fuel-injected bikes need a Piggyback or Pro ECU to change their trims. Too lean wears the engine faster; too rich wastes fuel and power.

  • Read the spark plug at home: chalky white = very lean, light grey = lean, light tan = right, dark brown = rich, sooty black = very rich.
  • For exact numbers, put it on the dyno at Raey Tech (RM 40 a run).

Every part changes the bike's character, not just its power: a torque cam pulls low down, a top-end cam screams at the top; short gears accelerate, long gears go faster; scooters get rollers and clutch springs instead. Fully built, the sport 150s reach about 220 km/h.

Home parts and tune
Home > Parts & tune: a sport cam and stroker crank fitted, a full exhaust waiting in the box (Fit DIY or Sell), and the carb tune with its plug readings.

Clone parts NEW IN 1.7.2

Speed Zone Mart sells Toba-Kaki clones of every performance part - Street, Race and Pro:

  • Half the price of the real part.
  • About 85% of the gain - weaker, but still a real upgrade over stock.
  • Harder on the engine (wears it about 25% faster).
  • They break - on average after about 120 km, much sooner if you thrash it on the limiter. A broken clone is gone and the bike runs on the stock part again; engine clones (cylinder, head, cam, crank) also knock the engine.
  • Same fitting rules as the real thing: fit them at home, or Manaw Garage fits one you bring. Pro clones still need the certificate to fit yourself.

Racing

Ride to the Race Start and pick a track: the ring, downtown, the Bukit hill climb, the flyover, an off-road scramble - and the drag strip. Race solo for a best time or host a LAN race.

Drag racing: stage, hold BRAKE and rev, launch on green (too early is a red light), shift up at the shift light with manual gears. You can turn on manual gears everywhere in Settings.

Multiplayer (LAN)

Play with friends on the same Wi-Fi or phone hotspot - phones and PCs together - on the same game version. No internet or account needed. Your world is open to LAN (toggle it in the menu); friends drop in from Multiplayer > Join. Up to 6 players.

Everyone keeps their own money and bikes. Ride together, lend and borrow bikes, ride pillion, race, work the same job for the team bonus, help each other with DIY and push broken-down bikes.
